As I wrote before, when I was a child, in my country, to get a Barbie doll was a great thing. The dolls were mostly blondes. As I started to expand my horse collection, new dolls appeared as well, and of course my attention was drawn to the ones with dark hair. And so one day Teresa from the Cali Girl Surfer series caught my eye.

This Teresa probably comes from 2004 (although some sources say it was 2005), from the Cali Girl Surfer line. The dolls were equipped with a surfboard, sunglasses, and a bottle of suntan oil. Like all Cali Girls dolls they were also scented.
Of course, my Teresa came to me without a box, accessories or even clothes. I feel sorry for the latter of her clothes, because it was a quite nice outfit. Maybe someday I will be able to hunt it somewhere - you never know.
She came to me in mid June 2021. She looked quite bearable. I don't know if she was a toy or just a decoration - her hair was in perfect condition, and so was her body, except for a few washable spots on her legs.

She was wearing a very nice beach suit. I was searching for a while to find out where it comes from and one of Flickr user gave me a clue that it belongs to My Scene Barbie from Jamin in Jamaica series. Surely I would never found it out by myself, as I am not a fan of these dolls. But I must say, that they have nice clothes.
The original hairstyle has also been preserved, despite the fact that one of the elastics has fallen off.
The doll just after the inspection and the first session - out of the box - went to the bath.
After the bath, Teresa got new, warmer clothes - handmade by me. I also recreated her braid and tied it with new elastic bands.
In winter, she took part in the Winter Christmas Horses 2021 project, her color was red and her horse was Richard.
Later, she got a warm sweatpants and a printed T-shirt - of course I made the clothes myself.
The character of Teresa appeared in 1988, she made her debut as California Dream Teresa (by the way - almost like Cali Girl) and did not look like my Teresa.

She is one of Barbie's best friends, the third to be exact - the first is Midge, the second is dark-skinned Christy.

She is supposed to be a great cook, and she likes baking muffins the most. I also feel good in the kitchen and best with cakes, but muffins seem too labor-intensive to me. She also has a huge heart for pets, she saves stray cats and dogs. In my team, she has not yet acquired her own pet, but I think I already have a plan for her four-legged companion - so it will change in some time.
She likes gossiping tabloids with news from the life of celebrities. She also loves flea markets and vintage clothes. Therefore, my design, the winter coat must have appealed to her.
My Teresa has a head signed 1990.
By the way I will repeat again - the date of signature on a doll, horse, dog or other Mattel toy does not mean that this item comes from this year! This is the date when a given mold was released to the market! So the date when the first toy in this shape appeared on the market. I don't know how people can be so pace that they describe dolls from the 90s, knowing well that they were on sale and popular then, as coming from the 60s - because that's what it says on the doll ... I have no words.
The body is signed 1999.
Teresa is very graceful.
