I waited for a favorable aura in the garden to take interesting photos, but when my model team was ready, the winter has withdrawn and it was rain and gale, so I had to arrange an artificial winter at home.
Champion has silver rosettes, beads and bells. Small beads are attached to the silver strings - like frozen dewdrops, and between them single, larger ones, shaped like snowflakes.
Lila got a hood with two tops, the rosettes of the hair clips are made of white tulle on which I applied blue glitter (not visible in the photo), beads are pearl-white, bells - blue, pale blue bows, and at the ends of the strings there are transparent beads - sparkling balls.
Champion and Ghost Richard were ready as first, unfortunately it was the end of the Christmas period, but they managed to make a session with a Christmas tree.
The first version of the winter outfit for horses consisted of blankets, leg warmers, hoods, decorative hair clips with bells - three for the mane and one for the tail, and a belt with bells. Despite the fact that they look practically the same - they differ - and that was my idea.
Champion has a green outfit - it was supposed to be a symbol of a green Christmas tree, I even had to add a nickname to his name - Tanenbaum (German Christmas tree). And Richard has a red outfit symbolizing Santa Claus. I added silver to the basic color for Champion and golden - for Ghost. Of course, the horses' colors are also not accidental - white and black (although in fact Champion is dark brown) - typical colors of winter.
Unfortunately, it is not clearly visible in the pictures, but the hair clips also differ - not only with the color of the bows and bells. Each of the hair clips consists of a rosette made of a delicate, almost transparent material, a bow with a bead and a bell, and two strings with decorative, transparent beads designed to resemble ice decorations.
Champion has silver rosettes, beads and bells. Small beads are attached to the silver strings - like frozen dewdrops, and between them single, larger ones, shaped like snowflakes.
Richard's hair clips rosettes are made of golden material with golden glitter, the beads and bells are also golden, and on the strings, between small beads, there are transparent hearts, and at the ends - transparent larger balls.
The hoods are similar, but Richard's tip is longer than Champion's. The fur with which parts of the garment are sewn is also different, while in the red one it is soft - resembling rabbit fur. In the green outfit, it is more stiff, reminiscent of sheep's wool, and it also has a cream shade.
At this stage, Richard did not have a bridle yet, and Champion had an adapted Midnight bridle with reins made of silver cord.
Then an idea for doll clothes to match horses was born in my head. The children's dress, which I noticed on Instagram, became my inspiration. In addition, among my materials I found a blue fleece that fits perfectly not only with my old Barbie, but also with Lilka. And that's how the clothes for the third horse were created. Here is the effect:
Lila got a hood with two tops, the rosettes of the hair clips are made of white tulle on which I applied blue glitter (not visible in the photo), beads are pearl-white, bells - blue, pale blue bows, and at the ends of the strings there are transparent beads - sparkling balls.
Dolls have coats made of the same materials as their horses.
Theresa with Richard, my old Bath Fun Barbie with Lila and Cali Girl Horseback Riding Barbie with Champion.
Each doll has a fur-trimmed coat, gloves, a separate hood, warm boots trimmed with fur and warm white leggings.
Horses in this version, instead of belts, have women's saddles, Champion and Richard - brown - from older models of Mattel horses. Lila has her standard saddle, it is the same as these boys, only light gray-blue.
