White Ghost - Cinderella's horse named Richard

White was spotted by me in the ad, he was in bad shape, but I decided to take him in to give him a second chance.

It didn't look very interesting in the advertisement, but I thought it might be a good base for painting.

The arrival

He came to me around June 1, 2021. After a short investigation, it turned out that he was from 2004 and was pulling Cinderella's carriage. He is white pearl with a golden sheen. He has a white mane and tail, silver hooves and horrible blue eyes.

His hair was very matted.

Also, his eye was crookedly painted, though I believe it was somehow printed rather than painted. It irritated me a lot, it's not a fake, it's the original Mattel horse. If I had gotten such a cross-eyed horse as a child, I'd be really sorry.

White appeared at the same time as Henia, and because there was a clear idea for Henia in my head, White went aside, waiting for some plan.

A hair war

Before the plan was born, however, I took up the challenge of brushing his hair. My goddaughter decided that they cannot be saved and that nothing will be left of them.

After washing, the water was obviously not clean.

The horse looked better, unfortunately his mane and tail still looked more like felt. I started by moistening hair with a fabric conditioner.

And the fight with the felt began, first the mane:

As you can see, a lot of hair lost this battle, but at least the mane has become combable. Though it didn't look perfect.

His eyes haunted me, I had to get rid of them. It was not possible to wash them off during washing, so I had to use stronger agents. One last look at the blue horrors.

And after being freed from the cross-eyed gaze:

Somehow better at once, though a bit blindly.

The mane was still not very satisfactory to me, but the tail also had to be taken care of.

A lot of hair had fallen off the tail as well.

White without eyes, he looked like a ghost, and that's how he got his next name. As I got rid of his eyes, the twisted ends of his hair started to irritate me, making the hair frizzy and instantly tangling.

I don't have a hair straightener, and I think it would help the Ghost. I had to use an iron - but I absolutely do not recommend this method, because it is very easy to damage not only the hair, but also the iron itself, not to mention hurting yourself. White, however, was helped a bit by this risky procedure.

The borrowed outfit

When I created the set for Elza, I thought it would look interesting on a white horse. In fact, the Ghost looked very good - I painted a black eye with a non pernament marker for the photo so that he wouldn't look like a monument.

The set returned to Elsa, and the eyeless White Ghost returned to the box. I still had no idea for him.

White Ghost join Champion Zdzisiek in a Christmas project of 2021

Until Christmas came and the idea for both White and my Champion came to my mind. Both outfits were made almost simultaneously. The Champion, although it is actually brown, appears black at first glance. The Ghost is white, so they're a couple of opposites. In addition, the main colors of Christmas - red and green, and Santa's clothes and bells - and this is how my Christmas - winter horses were created. In some store I saw a Christmas bear named - Zdzisio - I liked it and I named Champion after it. After a short reflection, I found the right name to match the rhyme for White - this is how Ghost became Rysiek (Richard).

Richard is red and gold. This way he also gained golden eyes and hooves.

Second version

With a saddle and a tack made especially for him.

And so Cinderella's White Ghost Richard avoided full painting.
