As a child, I dreamed of a Scottish Sheepdog (collie), it was my favorite breed. But my parents didn't agree to any dog. So I asked, maybe one for Barbie, not real? Well, I got a samoyed instead of a collie.
The second Barbie dog in my stable is Turqoise. It is another element of the Western Fun (USA) or Suncharm series. His name comes from the USA version, in the European version he was called Tabasco.
Turquoise came to me from northern Italy, and so far it has traveled the longest way of all my exhibits. By the way, it was also the most expensive purchase. The price, however, comes with the quality and condition of the item. The dog arrived in its original box, practically undamaged. By the way - this is the only box in my collection. Coming back to Turquoise, when I took it out of this beautiful box, I was almost speechless. I didn't expect it to be in perfect condition. His fur is so delicately soft, and his joints aren't loose, like my Pinkie's. All the Turquoise paintwork was in very good condition, he only had a slightly rubbed nose.
In the box, apart from the dog, there were also:
- a salmon bowl
- salmon comb and brush
- a mint hat
- rug
- a pink badge with the inscription Turquoise with a silver string, to be hung around the neck
Only a small hair clip with a ribbon is missing for fullness.
It's strange that the dog came to me in a European box - Suncharm - Tabasco, and the badge has the name of the USA version on the sticker.
If anyone ever played with this dog, it had to be done for a very short time. The dog is in practically perfect condition, the rug gives the impression that no one was touching it. The hat also has no signs of use. The sticker with the name of the dog is slightly sticking out of the badge, but it still sticks. The bowl, brush and comb are also like new.
Turquoise and Sunny belong to the same series - Western Fun / Suncharm.
The dog is made in the same way as Snowball aka. Pinkie - a plastic skeleton, a soft tail, swivel legs and a rubber-like head - all covered in fur. As it is a Scottish Shepherd, its hair is cinnamon - brown and white.
Turquoise is a bit taller and thinner than Pinkie. At first I thought that they differ only in their heads and fur color, but despite the same pattern - their skeletal bases are different, even their paws are different.
